 After the hurricane Katrina disaster, no one in Bogalusa or the surrounding areas had electricity. Everyone's hope of a speedy recovery was fading away. Energy was working their very hardest to restore everyone's power but soon realized that they were incapable of completing the job on their own. That's when Duke Power came into our town. They stayed on the Sullivan Technical College campus for more than three weeks. The Duke Power teams gave up their time to help out Bogalusa. As if that wasn't enough, BHS received a $5,000 check from them. From the bottom of our hearts, Bogalusa High School would like to thank Duke Power for all of their relentless hard work.
