THE MISSION FOR JROTC IS TO MOTIVATE YOUNG PEOPLE TO BE BETTER CITIZENS

 

JROTC Facts

* JROTC was established at BHS in 1993
* JROTC Cadets as a whole have less discipline problems, have higher attendance rates andlower drop-out rates
* A variety of subjects are taught in JROTC. These include: Military History; Government; Geography; Leadership; Drill and Ceremony; Rifle Markmanship; Health and First Aid; and Citizenship
* Is taught by retired Military Officers and Non Commisioned Officers. Major Rick Fredieu has been teaching at BHS for 18 years and SGM Danny Strahan has been teaching st BHS for 6 years.
* The BHS JROTC Program has been an Honor Unit with Distinction for 18 years.
* Students get Health and PE credits through JROTC.
